Our Olympic Lifting 101 clinic in San Diego is a great foundations course for beginners (especially CrossFitters) to get introduced to the Olympic weightlifting movements (Snatch and Clean & Jerk). This clinic is issued in two, 1.5 hour sessions in a small group setting (less than 7 people in a group).

Led by one of the top Olympic Lifting coaches in the Nation, David Miller, the Fortius Olympic Lifting 101 clinic has run every month for the last 4 years helping hundreds of local CrossFit and Weightlifting athletes learn better Olympic Lifting form and technique fundamentals.  While this is labeled a “beginner” Olympic Lifting clinic, it is also useful as a refresher for experienced athletes as well!

We require this clinic for all beginners for both our Olympic Weightlifting and CrossFit memberships, as the weightlifting movements are absolutely fundamental. In CrossFit, over 70% of workouts involve an Olympic weightlifting movement, so learning proper technique from the start is essential to making consistent progress and keeping you safe and healthy.
