Why the jump into CrossFit?
I wanted to try something different. My wife convinced me to try it out.
How long (if at all) had you been doing CrossFit before joining Fortius?
I had never done CrossFit before joining
Why did you choose Fortius?
A friend referred me
What kind of progress have you made since starting at Fortius?
I’ve made all the progress. Ha. All of my lifts have been cleaned up technique wise. I have put on at least a hundred pounds on almost all of my lifts. I was never able to get below parallel on my squats before I started and now I’m all the way down.
What is your proudest accomplishment so far at Fortius?
Lifting over 400 on my deadlift
What would you say is the biggest misconception about CrossFit?
That they don’t care about technique. It’s not true at all. We drill technique everyday to start the class.
Favorite CrossFit Movement:
Favorite I think is the clean.
Least Favorite CrossFit Movement:
Least favorite is Overhead Squats but I’m getting better at those.
What advice would you give to someone looking to start CrossFit?
Just do it. You won’t regret it. You’ll get to meet some great people and get in better shape.
