Why the jump into Weightlifting?
Always enjoyed weightlifting, and was always the strongest girl on my team. Figured it was something I may be able to excel at.
How long (if at all) had you been doing Weightlifting before joining Fortius?
Before joining Forius, I was only weightlifting for 6 months.
Why did you choose Fortius?
I had a friend back in Texas recommend the gym to me. She said the people and the gym was awesome, and she was right!
What kind of progress have you made since starting at Fortius?
New Prs and first time doing an Olympic Meet
What is your proudest accomplishment so far at Fortius?
My first Olympic Meet!
What would you say is the biggest misconception about Weightlifting?
That’d you’ll steadily be able to get stronger. But really it’s a rollercoaster!

I really don’t enjoy jerks!
What advice would you give to someone looking to start Weightlifting?
Give it a whirl! It looks really intimidating, but everyone has to start somewhere to be great!
What’s next? What are your goals for the future?
To continue to lift and compete in meets. I eventually want to qualify for the bigger meets and play with the big girls!
