POWERLIFTING

The Sport of Powerlifting simply consists of the “Big Three”: Back Squat, Bench Press and Deadlift. In competition, athletes have 9 attempts to lift the most weight possible in each movement.

With 5 locations in the San Diego area, you’ll never need to worry about having an open training facility that works with your schedule. It’s no surprise that Fortius had sent 4 athletes to the 2016 USAPL Raw Nationals in just the first year of their Powerlifting careers. We focus on the most important parts of becoming a well-rounded, elite athlete: sportsmanship, technique and accessory work. Without an emphasis on those, your “Big Three” will go nowhere.

Our Powerlifting team averages 5 athletes competing at any given meet, which provides a chance for the community and friendship to grow among the athletes of Fortius!

Our Powerlifting training program includes 5 workouts a week, and we have coached Powerlifting hours every weekday from 6:00am-7:30am, 12:00pm-1:30pm and 4:00pm-8:00pm. Saturday coached hours are 9:00am-2:00pm and Sunday coached hours are 9:00am-11:00am.
