I played soccer
Why the jump into CrossFit?
I had plateaued with regular body building and wanted something different
How long (if at all) had you been doing CrossFit before joining Fortius?
Why did you choose Fortius?
I loved the options to do powerlifting or Olympic lifting. The staff was super friendly and helpful and I loved the programming
What kind of progress have you made since starting at Fortius?
I’ve PR’d and can tell my technique has improved vastly. I know I have gotten a lot stronger.
What is your proudest accomplishment so far at Fortius?
Being able to compete in a crossfit competition RX due to the skills I learned at Fortius
What would you say is the biggest misconception about CrossFit?
That it causes all these injuries or is too hard for a beginner of fitness. Neither of these are true but it’s so hard to convince others to think otherwise.
Least Favorite CrossFit Movement:
I hate toes to bar and burpees only because they are my weakness (for now)
What advice would you give to someone looking to start CrossFit?
Just start! Everyone starts somewhere. Elite athletes didn’t just started cleaning 200 plus pounds on their first day either.
