Growing up Vince was very active in football, basketball, and track. Throughout high school, this was a big focus and how he was initially introduced to weightlifting. Through the years following with college and career, he found himself out of shape and unmotivated to workout in traditional gyms. He started CrossFit in 2011, which quickly became a passion and led him into the weightlifting world both as an athlete and coach. Although he loves coaching both the last few years have been focused around weightlifting and helping athletes realize their potential.
As a Masters athlete Vince has been to Nationals twice including a 3rd place finish in 2017. He definitely has bigger goals around being at the top of that podium and going to Worlds in 2018. During the day he works in the Biotech industry-leading IT projects, which is why he is one of those weird people that likes to lift at 6am. He also loves San Diego beer and pizza, which makes it tough staying a 69kg lifter.
