When Did you Start at Fortius?
I played some sports as a young kid but never considered myself athletic. I am a USMC veteran, which at times of course was physically challenging but you don’t really have a choice in the matter. My time at Fortius is the first time I chose for myself to stick with an exercise routine.
What is the biggest misconception about CrossFit?
That it’s too hard/tough/difficult especially if you’re not already “in shape”.
Advice for someone looking to start CrossFit?
Just jump in! It will feel natural in a short amount of time and you will be amazed with what your body is capable of.
What’s next? What are your goals for the future?
I’m just looking to be healthy, set a good example for my daughter, and push myself :) Maaaaaaybe I’ll give a competition a go if Joe will have me in the future, lol. There’s no way I would have made it the last year without him sweating by my side every day!
