When did you start at Fortius?
Sports / Fitness Background?
I played field hockey in High School, started to work out about 4 yrs ago but nothing ever stuck and wasn’t enjoyable, until we found a trainer who did crazy workouts with us. It was nothing like I’d ever done before and I really enjoyed it.
Why did you choose Fortius?
We had stopped working out with the trainer and were at LA Fitness. It was boring, left looking for something more, we walked into Fortius, Met Dave and that was it, found what we were looking for.
What kind of progress have you made over the past year?
Mentally, huge gains, I can do things I never thought I could do, I’ve also gotten over what I think other people are thinking of seeing an older out of shape person all huffing and puffing and sweaty. Now I see a cheering squad cheering you on and congratulating each other for surviving another killer WOD.
What the biggest misconception about CrossFit?
ANYONE can do it, no matter age, or fitness level. Anything can be scaled to your ability.
Advice for someone looking to start CrossFit?
Just try it, it’s amazing what you can achieve if you just try.
What’s next? What are your goals for the future?
Fitness wise, to keep on moving and improving on what I’ve learnt so far.
