Coach Kyle is originally from Edwardsville, IL. where he played multiple sports growing up, but stuck with playing baseball through college. During and after graduating college Kyle would help coach his hometown’s high school summer baseball team with his Uncle and older brother. This was Kyle’s first real experience coaching, and it continued for the next 5 years until he joined the United States Air Force.

It was while in the Air Force that Kyle first discovered, then fell in love with, working out again. First just pushing weights around in the gym, and then discovering CrossFit – which he became immediately hooked.

Kyle has been CrossFitting now since June of 2015, and coaching since February of 2016. Since he began coaching, Kyle has always loved helping people achieve their goals, pushing their bodies further than they thought possible, and having fun while doing so.

“CrossFit for me is a way to constantly push yourself, to constantly try and better yourself every single day no matter your skill level. I love the process of coming to the gym and busting your ass to get better, pushing yourself further than you initially thought possible.”

Coach Kyle has since represented Fortius in multiple CrossFit competitions at the Elite level, both as an Individual and Team. Including the Cascade Classes and qualifying Top 10 Elite Team for the WZA and Mid Atlantic CrossFit Sanctionals competition.
